The individuals listed on the WBJ\u2019s Power 50 were named for being the most influential in the business community throughout Central Massachusetts. In her 18 years at Consigli, Staruk was named the first female project executive and was the first woman to win Consigli\u2019s Builder of the Year Award.<\/p>\n<p>She also serves on the board of directors at Girls Inc. of Worcester and participates as a member of the National Association of Women in Construction, in hopes of inspiring more young women to pursue their careers in the STEM direction. Staruk is actively recruiting more women to join her in the construction field.<\/p>\n<p><em><div class=\"quote\"><p>When I was growing up, I knew nothing about the opportunities available within the construction industry.
