Consigli was also presented with a Merit Award for its work on The MathWorks, Inc.’s new Lakeside Campus Headquarters as well as a Performance Award for the Smith Campus Center for Harvard University.

The redevelopment of Congress Square entailed major renovations and additions to five, interconnected historic commercial buildings spanning an entire city block, including a striking seven-story, modern glass addition.

The AGC Build New England Awards Gala is the premier industry event in the region, honoring building excellence through collaboration. The event is organized by the AGC of Massachusetts, a professional construction association representing firms that provide building construction services for commercial and institutional clients.

The event was held at The Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Boston.

The 10,000-square-foot addition unites two existing buildings on Wellesley College’s campus, making room for both visual and musical art, and incorporating classroom, studio, rehearsal and performance spaces.  To create texture for the custom wall design, wooden boards were sandblasted and incorporated in an irregular pattern, and at varying depths.  A combination of cast-in-place and precast concrete veneer on the exterior and all cast-in-place concrete on the interior walls feature this distinctive finish.

The Decorative Concrete Council, a specialty council of the American Society of Concrete Contractors, is dedicated to focusing on the issues, trends and work of the decorative concrete industry, and recognizes outstanding decorative concrete projects from around the world each year.
