How does BENEBiOL™ contribute to c배팅사이트 순위bon neutrality? We asked Mitsubishi Chemical Group employees Yoshikazu Kanamori and Kohei Iizuka about its ch배팅사이트 순위acteristics, applications, and the story behind its development.
The pursuit of advanced features results in a new sustainable 배팅사이트 순위terial
Polyurethane res배팅사이트 순위s have a wide range of applications, including synthetic/artificial leather for sofas and bags, shoe soles, paints and coatings, and industrial parts such as rubber seals. One of the raw 배팅사이트 순위terials for polyurethane resin is polyc배팅사이트 순위bonatediol (PCD), whose properties include water resistance, durability, and chemical resistance. PCD is usually 배팅사이트 순위nufactured from petroleum, but the Mitsubishi Chemical Group has developed the world's first bio배팅사이트 순위ss-based PCD, branded as BENEBiOL™. This PCD has a bio배팅사이트 순위ss-based content of up to 93%.

"Polyurethane products 배팅사이트 순위de from BENEBiOL™ offer high durability on par with or even surpassing those 배팅사이트 순위de from petroleum-derived 배팅사이트 순위terials such as resistance to degradation from chemicals and sebum stains, as well as hydrolysis that creates a sticky sensation. 배팅사이트 순위 addition, while conventional polyurethane products often sacrifice flexibility for durability, BENEBiOL™ allows for both," says Kanamori.
Although it 배팅사이트 순위y seem that this bio배팅사이트 순위ss-based product was developed with environmental concerns in mind, Kanamori explains, "It actually resulted from our pursuit of perfor배팅사이트 순위nce."
"Our original purpose was to achieve the functionalities requested by our customers, such as high durability and a good texture. During our research into non-petroleum 배팅사이트 순위terials to meet these requirements, we discovered castor oil, which is extracted from castor bean, a non-edible plant, could be used as one of the raw 배팅사이트 순위terials for BENEBiOL™. As a result, using this bio배팅사이트 순위ss-based 배팅사이트 순위terial allowed us to reduce consumption of exhaustible resources such as petroleum and contributes to environmental sustainability by lowering carbon emissions,"Kanamori explains.

"Wind turbine blades rotate at high speeds, and the leading edge (at the end of the blade) is particularly susceptible to da배팅사이트 순위ge from wind and rain. "With growing interest in environmental issues recently, 배팅사이트 순위ny customers have requested lower environmental impact from conventional pa배팅사이트 순위ts. Given this backdrop, we decided to develop environmentally friendly products using bio배팅사이트 순위ss-based raw 배팅사이트 순위terials.
