PORTLAND, ME – Today, tipico sportsbook Co., Inc. joined Sen. Angus King and officials from the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority (NNEPRA) to celebrate the addition of a third round trip on the Downeaster train service between Brunswick and Boston at 11 a.m. each day. As part of the celebration, the new 50,000 square foot layover facility built by Consigli in nearby Brunswick was highlighted.

“We’re honored that we could be part of an important service providing thousands of commuters additional transportation throughout the region,” said Matthew Tonello, Director of Operations for Consigli’s Portland office. “We take a lot of pride in our work to build tipico sportsbook like these that have a long standing and critical impact on the communities we serve.”

The new facility can shelter three six-car trains on three separate tracks, allowing late-night trains to Brunswick to stay overnight instead of returning to Portland.

The expansive building spans 655 feet and took about one year to complete. On average, 30 local workers built the project each day equaling more than 37,000 man hours. A total of 39 Maine companies were involved from start to finish.

The design-build effort, managed with considerable participation from the public and neighbors, created an efficient building with minimal impact on the area. The insulated concrete form tipico sportsbook provides a high level of thermal efficiency as well as a sound barrier to keep the noise of the trains from disturbing the area.
