  • Installation of a BSL-2 Lab, ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanrooms, non-clean R&D, quality control spaces and administrative offices
  • Collaborative mechanical design phase to achieve differential pressure and ensure zero risk of cross contamination from one space to the next
  • Pre-planning of all M/E/P shutdowns and coordinating around MMQCI’s manufacturing process at the occupied facility

Maine Molecular Quality Controls, Inc. (MMQCI) designs and markets molecular controls for use in inherited disease testing, infectious tipico casinodisease detection and pharmacogenetics. To support their research efforts, MMQCI built and expanded its Saco facility over multiple projects.

tipico sportsbook New construction of state-of-the-art product development and manufacturing facility. Scope included the construction of multiple manufacturing rooms constructed on pre-fabricated clean room wall systems, BSL-2 lab, ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanroom laboratories, packaging center, loading docks and offices.

Expansion: Two-story expansion adjacent to the operating lab/office facility including clean rooms, labs, quality control rooms, kitting, research and development and other key production spaces at Level One and shell space for a fit-out at Level Two. The insulated concrete form (ICF) structure is cladded with metal siding, millennium tile and storefront. This project also included a renovation to the existing first-floor space.

Second Floor Fit-out: Fit-out of shell space to housing workstations, private offices, conference rooms, collaboration spaces and a large break room with access to a roof top deck. Interior finishes include a variety of ceiling systems and custom wall graphics thematic of the facility’s molecular work. Additional exterior windows were added to increase natural light. New mechanical systems were carefully selected and coordinated to compliment the expanded operations. All construction was managed while the remainder of the existing clean manufacturing and R&D spaces remained occupied and operational on the floor below.
