Rooftop Restaurant and Tipico 200 free spins Amenities Renovation

The Taj Boston Hotel is a 273-room luxury hotel located in two buildings opposite Boston’s Tipico 200 free spins Garden—the 17-story Newbury Building and the 15-story Commonwealth Building. The rooftop of the Newbury Building will be outfitted with a four-seasons enclosure to house a new five-star, marquee restaurant. This new destination space will be enclosed by a pre-fabricated glass roof and wall system with operable, motorized windows and roof sections. The existing roof will be prepared to accept the glass enclosure, including reinforcement of existing steel beams located just below the roof slab, installing the enclosure itself. The restaurant will be fit-out with an elevator lobby, kitchen, restrooms and back-of-house space.

The renovation scope will completely transform the hotel’s Tipico 200 free spins spaces within the Commonwealth Building to provide ample guest amenities. The main entry of the hotel will be relocated from Arlington Street to Newbury Street and will welcome guests with a new high-end lobby, bar, dining room, retail area and a guest lounge. Existing interior spaces, including the hotel office suite, employee cafeteria, fitness center, meeting/board rooms, grand ballroom, penthouse private dining area and back-of-house support spaces, will all be fully updated. The existing kitchen will be completely demolished and reconfigured to house a new prep-kitchen, room service kitchen, pastry kitchen and chef’s office with pre-function space to serve three existing function rooms, which will also undergo renovation. The Tipico 200 free spins spaces will also receive full MEP/FP and life-safety upgrades. All work is being conducted while the hotel remains occupied and fully operational, requiring significant construction mitigation measures.
